Bank Windhoek, NBC strengthen partnership

Demonstrating its unwavering commitment to strong media relations and transparent communication, Bank Windhoek recently conducted a strategic engagement visit to the Namibia Broadcasting Corporation (NBC).

The visit forms part of the Bank’s broader initiative to deepen collaboration with key media stakeholders and enhance mutual understanding of the evolving media landscape.

During the engagement, led by Bank Windhoek’s Marketing and Corporate Communication Services Executive Officer, Jacquiline Pack, Bank Windhoek representatives gained valuable insight into NBC’s daily broadcasting operations and its forward-looking plans to adapt and innovate in a rapidly changing media environment. The visit underscored the critical role of public broadcasting in informing, educating, and connecting communities across Namibia.

Bank Windhoek also took the opportunity to formally congratulate NBC’s newly appointed Director General, Menesia Muinjo, the corporation’s first female leader, marking a significant milestone in Namibia’s media sector.

The Bank commended this historic achievement as a step forward in advancing leadership diversity and empowering women in influential positions. Pack and Muinjo’s brief discussions also explored potential areas of future cooperation, including knowledge-sharing initiatives, capacity-building opportunities, and support for strategic communication.

Speaking on the visit, Bank Windhoek emphasised that strong relationships with media institutions are essential to fostering trust, promoting transparency, and ensuring that accurate and timely information reaches the public.

“Media organisations are vital partners in our journey to serve the Namibian people. Through meaningful engagement and collaboration, we can collectively contribute to a well-informed society and a more resilient economy,” said Pack.

As part of its ongoing media engagement strategy, Bank Windhoek affirmed its intention to continue similar visits and interactions across the broader media landscape. These efforts aim to strengthen partnerships, support the sustainability of the media sector and reinforce the Bank’s role as a responsible and engaged corporate citizen.

Pack concluded that, as a proud Namibian bank, Bank Windhoek is committed to delivering innovative banking solutions while fostering sustainable relationships with stakeholders and communities nationwide. On her part, Muinjo thanked the bank for the strategic visit and urged the bank and the NBC to continue serving Namibians with pride.
