Bank Windhoek Red Run attracts 1 700 enthusiasts

With approximately 1 700 participants having registered for the much-anticipated Bank Windhoek Red Run, the event is expected to be a memorable, active and thrilling experience. 

Scheduled to take place tomorrow starting at 06h30 at Zoo Park in Windhoek, the run is a collaboration between the /Ae //Gams Sports Club and Bank Windhoek. It will challenge participants to complete five, 10, 21.1, and 42.2 kilometres  for a total prize of N$60 000 and medals.

Bank Windhoek’s Executive Officer for Marketing and Corporate Communication Services, Jacquiline Pack, said the response is a fantastic milestone, and that the bank is grateful for the overwhelming support. 

Registration will take place today from 11h00 to 18h00 at Zoo Park, Independence Avenue. Registrations will not be done on the day of the run. The first 500 paid registered participants will receive branded T-shirts. 

The 42km race will kick off at 06h30, the 21km at 06h45, the 10km at 07h00 and the 5km at 07h10.
