Bank Windhoek Red Run is back

With total prize money of N$60 000, the 2025 edition of the Bank Windhoek Red Run, set to take place on Saturday, 9 August, at the Ramblers Sports Club in Windhoek, is gearing up to be an unforgettable, dynamic and exhilarating gathering.

Organised in collaboration with the /Ae //Gams Sports Club and Bank Windhoek, this action-packed day promises to challenge participants with distances of five kilometres (km), 10 km, and 21.1 km, and the first 1 000 entries will receive a free Bank Windhoek Red Run t-shirt.

Themed ‘Run with Heart, Run with Love’, this year’s Bank Windhoek Red Run will be a timed event, with a strict cut-off finish time of 11:30 on race day. Distances will be precisely measured and marked, and multiple water points along the various routes will be provided. Additionally, the event will host a variety of vendors providing nutritious food and drinks for participants.

Bank Windhoek’s Head of Stakeholder Engagement, Corporate Social Responsibility and Sponsorships, Bronwyn Moody, said that the event is a demonstration of Bank Windhoek’s commitment to health and fitness, aiming to positively impact the local community as a Connectors of Positive Change. 

“We encourage everyone to lace up their running shoes and prepare for an actively rewarding day,” she said. “Whether you are running, walking, or cheering from the sidelines, the Bank Windhoek Red Run promises a day of high energy and unforgettable memories.”

The Red Run is an annual event that fosters a sense of community and encourages social and competitive running. Entry Fees are between N$50 00 and N$150 00 in various categories. The entry deadline is Sunday, 20 July, at midnight. Participants can enter by following the Bank’s social media platforms. -lmupetami@nepc.com.na
