World Bank calls on NHE to restructure

Due to lack of serviced land and funding, the Namibia Housing Enterprise (NHE) only managed to provide 896 houses since 2016. The NHE is a state-owned enterprise mandated to deliver housing to low- and middle-income Namibian households by undertaking and financing housing projects.

Market dynamics warrant bigger stake in discoveries…Namibia can avoid resource curse by learning from others

Current oil market dynamics, where demand and supply are out of sync and an oil price super-cycle lasts for the short- to medium-term, place the Namibian government in a better bargaining position to increase its take of 10% in resource projects to a higher level. This is a recommendation from a report released this week by local stock brokerage Simonis Storm Securities (SSS).
