By Frederick Philander American filmmaker, Charles Burnett, has requested the submission of Namibian Films for the 2007 Pan African Film Festival in the USA. Eligible materials include: short films, feature films, documentaries and animations, preferably on DVD format, but other formats will be considered. The deadline for submissions is 30 September. “This is an excellent opportunity to showcase and market Namibian films to an international market,” states a release. Charles Burnett is the director of the Sam Nujoma feature film, ‘Where Others Wavered’, currently in post-production in the United States.
