The ninth edition of the MTC Windhoek Fashion Week kicked off at Maerua Mall on Wednesday, with the Damara Horokhoes’ ladies showcasing their dresses. Former Miss Namibia Jameela Uiras was among the Damara women who represented the Horokhoes (dress). The exhibition, entitled ‘Trails of the Damara Horokhoes,’ commenced the week’s activities. The Damara Horokhoes showcase honours traditional garments and cultural meanings, providing a distinctive venue for cultural exchange at one of Namibia’s leading fashion events.
