DJ Siya, MDU007 take on Afri Fest 2024

DJ Siya, MDU007 take on Afri Fest 2024

Namibian artist Alexander Sikalumbu, known as DJ Siya, and fire drummer Faustino Andreas, stage name MDU007, are set to take the stage at Wolverhampton, United Kingdom for Afri Fest 2024 tomorrow.

DJ Siya expressed his excitement about the performance.

He said “It has always been my dream to perform in the UK. It can only be God. For me as an artist, it’s a big motivation, and encourages us a lot. Such events are good for our industry because it’s a different crowd. It means big, and all was made possible by one of my managers, Mr Russell Phenyo, who is based in the UK”. He is eager to see how the UK crowd will react to their performance, and is proud to represent Namibia on the international stage.

DJ Siya teamed up with South African music group Dalom Kids to release a song, ‘Morena’, last week.

‘Morena’, which means God, was produced by Glo Solani, Silvia Tshanda of Dalom Music and Champions League DJs.

The song is available for streaming and downloading on all major music platforms.

“Oh yes, we are all booked at the same event with Dalom Kids, and we are definitely going to perform ‘Morena’. It’s on the lineup. Big thanks to Dalom Kids and Temi Dimplez for working with us on the song,” he exclaimed.

Looking ahead, DJ Siya announced that he will be launching his album at The Loft in October.

He expressed his gratitude to The RK Investment and Mushe Consulting Services for their continuous support throughout his musical career.
