Namibian-brewed hit banger Alander Siyaya, otherwise known as DJ Siya will be sharing the stage with legendary Congolese artist Koffi Olomidé at a concert in Botswana next month.
Olomidé, real name Antoine Mumba, told VIBEZ! that he is looking forward to bearing witness to the performance of the energetic DJ Siya at the Kgosi ya Mosadi in Concert show set for the Botswana national stadium on 29 October.
“I want to perform alongside DJ Siya because I have heard so much about him. I have seen his performances and it also excites me,” said Olomide, a Soukus singer, dancer, producer, and composer.
To add to the concert’s excitement, DJ Siya will be dropping a three-song EP featuring a few iconic artists from South Africa and Botswana today.
He linked up with Limpopo heavyweight Leon Lee and a few of his proteges namely Makhaba Killer and Sabza Di Bucks to release the energetic song titled ‘Masambeni’.
The other two tracks are ‘Jampas’ and ‘Indlela’.
Producer and owner of TNA Music Entertainment, Shimbayu Chivuyo said DJ Siya is one of the most entertaining and hardworking DJs known to him.
“DJ Siya gives 200% whenever he steps on stage, and being on stage for more than 20 years is a remarkable achievement,” he said.
Chivuyo added that TNA is proud to have a recognised DJ and musical ambassador that will be sharing the stage with African legend Koffi Olomidé.
“His new EP will definitely keep everyone on their feet; it is a build-up to his album that will drop in November after the concert.”
Another disc jockey and producer, DJ Citizen, expressed that he was honoured to have given his touches on the ‘Masambeni’ track.
“DJ Siya is one of the most friendly and easiest people to work with; he is selfless and has a love for music. We in Limpopo love music and we back him fully,” said DJ Citizen.
A music enthusiast, Faith Naweses told VIBEZ! she enjoys DJ Siya’s music and concerts and is therefore excited to attend the Botswana concert.
“His songs give me goosebumps and hopefully I make it to the concert because I would not miss it for anything in the world,” said Naweses.
