After some quiet, Nam Flava multi-genre singer, Ees, has returned to the music arena with a new airy single titled On the Road Again.
The song was released on Monday on the social media attracting more viewers and listeners, as well making headlines internationally. The new single is totally a new style by Ees, mixing minimal house genre with a commercial pop sound and African influence, a great example how the artist is keeping up with the latest trends in the industry. This a feat that comes a long way with Ees to whom blending African and European sounds have become popular, and easy like Sunday picnic.
According to Ees, the main promotional push for the song is in Europe, where already many big radio stations like Bayer3, DeutscheWelle and KissFM have been putting the song onto their playlists. “This is definitely the best respond in this short time I have received from the international media. Today my team is doing another big push of the song to countries like Australia, United States (US), Canada, Scandinavian countries and in the United Kingdom (UK) through big promotion networks that I have just signed up within the last week,” explains Ees.
He adds that he has been working on the song for over a year and decided to released it as the sound is currently being hyped, giving a better chance of penetrating music charts. “The message of the song is very deep. Its talks about the day to day stress that we humans have put on ourselves – the constant connectivity and availability one has that only makes one un-easy and crazy,” he says.
He adds that, the songs also talks about the important things in life and encourages individuals to focus more on love than material things, because when these things are gone – love is still there and will be enough. “It also talks about the imaginary limitations we have in our heads. It talks about just letting it go, taking a drive to relax and refocus on the important things in life.”
Ees says he is not planning to release an album anytime soon since his main focus is just on singles at the moment. “The time of dropping albums is over if you ask me – the industry has changed so much and as an artist one has do adapt to the industry,” says Ees.
This year, Ees is focusing mainly on releasing YouTube videos. “Now music will always be my main passion – but to survive off music nowadays alone is almost impossible. So I am connecting with many well-known YouTube celebrities in Europe at the moment to get the word out about Nam Flava music in these new target markets,” he says.
