Goals galore expected as the Debmarine Premiership returns

Action in the Debmarine Premiership will continue this weekend, with several matches lined up for Saturday and Sunday.

The weekend’s fixtures kick off tomorrow.

Rundu-based Julinho Athletic is set to square off against Bucks Buccaneers at 14h00 at the Rundu Sport Stadium. 

Simultaneously, at the Independence Stadium in Oshakati, Chula Chula will clash with Okahandja United at 14h00. 

In the capital at SKW Stadium, Khomas Nampol will take on African Stars at 15h00.

At Mondesa Stadium in Swakopmund, Blue Boys will welcome Ongos to their home turf in another exciting tie slated to start at 16h00. 

Meanwhile, Shandumbala outfit Tigers,  will travel to the coast, hoping to collect points when they tussle against coastal side Blue Waters at Kuisebmond Stadium at 16h00.

Back at Rundu Sport Stadium, relegation-battling Cuca Tops will be aiming for maximum points when they welcome Unam at 16h30.

KK Palace will play against Mighty Gunners at 16h30 at Oshakati Independence Stadium.

Fortune Eichab of Khomas Nampol said his charges are looking forward to this weekend’s matches. 

“We are in a great position in the standings so far. We want to maintain the momentum by winning all our weekend games,” he said.

On Sunday, the action continues with Julinho Athletic squaring off against Unam at 13h00, before Cuca Tops and Bucks Buccaneers take to the field to clash at 16h00.

At Oshakati Independence Stadium, KK Palace will tackle Okahandja United at 13h00, followed by a tie between Chula Chula and Mighty Gunners at 16h00. 

At the coast, Blue Waters will take on Ongos at 13h00 at Walvis Bay’s Kuisebmund Stadium. 

Blue Boys will square off against Tigers at Mondesa Stadium at 13h00.

In Windhoek, Khomas Nampol will take on Young African at SKW Stadium in a tie expected to start at 15h00. 

Speaking on his team’s readiness, James Britz, the co-coach of Tigers, expressed satisfaction, saying they are in good shape for this weekend.

“I think it’s tough encounter on Saturday and Sunday. We hope to make the best out of each match we participate in. We are fighting to make the top-eight,” he added.
