After the Supreme Court rejected their electoral challenge to the presidential election application last Friday, the Independent Patriots for Change (IPC) and the Landless People’s Movement (LPM) formally withdrew the complaint they had filed in the Electoral Court. This ruling was made just two days before the Electoral Court was supposed to hear the issue on 6 March 2025. Both political parties are asking for the case to be formally closed and taken off the court’s docket in their withdrawal submission. LPM has also asked for a reimbursement of the N$300 000 it spent in security for legal fees.
