Round two of the Namibia Premier Football League (NPFL) concluded on Saturday at various venues across the country.

At Independence stadium in Windhoek, Khomas Nampol Football Club drew 3-3 against Rundu Chiefs Football Club. Both teams went into half time with a 1-1 score, with goals scored by Rundu Chiefs’ Derl Goagoseb and Khomas Nampol’s Denzil Umati.

In the second half, both teams equalised 3-3, with the remaining two goals scored by Khomas Nampol’s Nguzu Salazar and Okeri Nguarambuka.

Goagoseb and Benson Kaluba scored for Rundu Chiefs.

Speaking after the match, Khomas Nampol’s coach Fortune Eichab said it was a good match, although that is not how they hoped it would turn out.

Due to certain errors that they made in the field, they equalised instead of winning.

“We had many opportunities, but they were wasted, including the missed penalty in the second half,” Eichab said.

In other premier league matches, at Kuisebmund stadium in Walvis Bay, Blue Waters and FC Ongos concluded with no goals scored, while Eleven Arrows and Unam each scored 1-1.

At Oshakati Independence stadium, Eeshoke Chula Chula defeated Tigers 2-0. KK Palace and Young African concluded with no goals.

At Nau-Aib stadium in Okahandja, Okahandja United defeated Life Fighters by 3-0.

At Omulunga stadium in Grootfontein, African Stars FC defeated Julinho Athletic FC by 2-0.

Bucks Buccaneers FC and Mighty Gunners FC did not score any goals in their match at the Windhoek Independence stadium on Friday.

More matches were slated for Round 3 yesterday.
