As a company that is grounded in the positive social and economic development of the country, MultiChoice Namibia recently donated a DStv subscription and television set to the Takarania Early Childhood Development Centre in Mariental.
The centre, which was officially established in 2022, comprises two classrooms, a kitchen, an ablution facility and a playground, which caters to over 80 children.
“With this sponsorship, our goal is to contribute to the growth and development of the youth through our educational content, and expose young ones to what is happening around our country and beyond our borders,” said MultiChoice Namibia managing director Roger Gertze.
“MultiChoice Namibia is incredibly grateful to be a part of an initiative that is dedicated and committed to fostering the potential of every child because the youth are the future of Namibia,” he noted.
The sponsorship includes a one-year DStv subscription, a full dish kit set (inclusive of a decoder, dish and cables), free installation, and a television set.
Featuring educational programmes such as ‘Learn on One’ on One Africa Television and entertainment channels such as Nickelodeon and Jim Jam for the younger group of children, viewers are guaranteed world-class viewing experience.
Lisiena Swartbooi, the founder of the centre, expressed appreciation to the MultiChoice Namibia team and stressed the importance of helping the community.
