Namibia Oil and Gas last week hosted the launch of its second Bi-Annual Industry Report, bringing together key stakeholders to reflect on the country’s rapidly evolving energy landscape.
The event was supported by Africa Provider Offshore Services.
The report provides data-driven analysis and strategic insights into developments shaping Namibia’s oil and gas sector.
The launch attracted senior executives, policymakers, financial institutions, and industry professionals, highlighting strong local and international interest in Namibia’s growing energy potential.
Speaking at the launch, Sanjay Korteweg, Founding Partner of Namibia Oil and Gas, said the report shows how much progress the country has made.
“This Bi-Annual Industry Report reflects how far Namibia’s oil and gas sector has progressed. It is about sharing credible insights, strengthening collaboration, and ensuring stakeholders remain aligned as the sector continues to mature,” he said.
Korteweg added that the initiative makes industry information accessible to Namibians and ensures the report grows with the sector. Véronique Herman, Chief Executive Officer of Africa Provider Offshore Services, stressed the importance of reliable data.
She said local companies need accurate information to make informed decisions in an often high risk industry. Herman also encouraged Namibian energy sector companies to support one another.
“We are stronger together,” she said, adding that cooperation will help local businesses benefit from the sector’s growth.
The report explained that it gives a clear snapshot of key developments in oil and gas. He said the publication helps stakeholders identify opportunities and better understand Namibia’s changing energy landscape.
