The Coordinating Unit for the National Rangeland Management Policy and Strategy (NRMPS), in collaboration with Agra ProVision and Conservation Agriculture Namibia, has announced that the 20th National Rangeland Forum (NRF) will take place at Heja Game Lodge, Windhoek from September 13 to 15. The programme for the three days will be as follows:
Tuesday Sept 13: Afternoon session on effective rest and recovery with presentations by Mr Leon Lubbe, Chief Agricultural Scientific Officer at the Ministry of Agriculture, Water and Forestry, Dr Richard Fynn, rangeland expert from Botswana, Mr Colin Nott, expert in communal rangeland management and Ben Norton, Emeritus Associate Professor at Utah State University. This will be followed by a discussion session moderated by Mr Bertus Kruger from AgraProvision.
Wednesday Sept 14: Full day session with presentations by farmers and scientists on best practice case studies and the latest research related to rangelands.
Thursday Sept 15: Field trip to two farms:

Smalhoek (Helmut Stehn)

The deadline for registration is August 20. Please note that we have a maximum capacity of 120 participants, so registration will be on a first come, first served basis. Registration will only be confirmed once the registration fee of N$300 per person has been paid.
