KEETMANSHOOP
Employees of the Namibia Diamond Trading Company (NDTC) have initiated Project Etango in response to the plight of the needy especially street children, orphans and vulnerable children.
Through the project, they aim to help under-privileged communities by running a programme that will provide shelter to be used as either feeding centres or soup kitchens for these needy community members. The shelters will also provide a platform where the communities and other organisations can support orphans and vulnerable children.
Such centres have already been set up in Walvis Bay, Swakopmund, Oshakati and Rundu, with Keetmanshoop being the latest beneficiary of this initiative over the last weekend. Old Mutual Foundation also came on board Project Etango by supporting the project with a donation of N$400ǟ
