Namibian Broadcasting Corporation (NBC) entertainment producer Emily Josef has dedicated her nomination for the 8th edition of the SCREAM All-Youth awards to late colleague, Maria Indongo-Nepaya.
Josef was nominated in the best entertainment personalities in Africa category.
“Through her pivotal teachings, I can proudly say ‘I am because she was’,” she said of Indongo-Nepaya, who headed NBC’s content hub division until her untimely death last week.
Josef encouraged entertainers to continue building the industry.
She said the nomination came as a surprise.
“It’s fulfilling to know people are seeing my work and my passion for the entertainment industry. Being nominated amongst the best entertainment personalities in Africa is already a win, not only for me, but for Namibia and the entire SADC at large,” said Josef.
The SCREAM Awards ceremony will be held virtually on 16 August 2021.
The continental awards aim to celebrate African influencers and content creators for their inspiring work across social media platforms, music, film, media and business.
