I have learnt with dismay and disbelief how the Affirmative Repositioning (AR) movement, a self-proclaimed land movement, has now turned itself into a social justice agency. Despite the new development of Affirmative Repositioning, I’m not that surprised as I have also witnessed with dismay how the University of Namibia has accommodated the leaders of Affirmative Repositioning.
It has been reported that this movement has pledged to fight for the development, and advocate the interest, of youth by establishing operating committees in all the 14 regions, but the youth from Oshikoto Region will not fall for that.
The AR leadership has made numerous unsuccessful attempts since last year. They attempted to cause havoc at Nehale Mpingana School and Onayena, but their plans were all in vain. Oshikoto is a stable region of academic excellence. We have been on top of academic performance for decades so our young people do not need toxic motivation or assistance that have strings attached.
We have a strong Regional Youth Forum that advocates youth interest and we have Oshikoto bursary funds that assist our less advantaged young people with payment for their tuition fees at tertiary institutions. Therefore, in our areas such as Omuthiya, Tsumeb, Onayena and Oniipa we will provide no soil for AR to sow their seeds of disrespectfulness, insults and madness of the first degree through their crusadic movement and termed super propagandists.
Call me a puppet of the elite, a hand- clapping boy, or whatever you like but I will never stand propagandists that are advocating anarchy and lawlessness, because they are blinding the youth and indoctrinating them through a revolutionary language.
