Dispatched thoughts - We are such fortunate people

Life is short and the time we get to spend on earth and with the people we love the most can be cut short anytime; and while we know that it is impossible to get along with everyone every time, we can at least appreciate having them with us today, as you never know when the last time will be.

We are a lucky and fortunate people – we have always been and will most likely remain so and we should be grateful for it. More than we notice, throughout our lives so far, we have been blessed with some wonderful gifts, gifts that we really could never wish for, namely our friends and parents. Not everyone gets that invaluable gift. We are such fortunate people.

Some of the people in our lives are people we simply could never wish for. We wouldn’t even think of them being up in our wildest dreams, yet they have ended up in our lives and choose to be a part of it. We should be more appreciative of them and grateful that they choose to be a part of our lives and because of that, we are such fortunate people.

In our lives, there are many things that have gone extremely well for us, circumstances that have turned out great in our favour. There are moments that are not ours, but we have had the good fortune to be a part of them. There are stories that are not ours, but we have been handed a leading role, simply because there are people in our lives. We are such fortunate people.

What is a life without love, what is anything without love, how can one experience life without pure and genuine love? I will tell you what, it is a poor life and dare I say an unfulfilled one. We should just be thankful that we get to experience love from those in our lives – our parents, friends, neighbours and even colleagues;  then we will more realize we are such fortunate people.

We should not take the people we have in our lives today for granted, they love and care for us and we should love them right back, maybe even a little more than we receive love. We should be grateful for having them in our lives and make the most of them while we are all still here. Life can be short, but living is the longest thing you will ever do. We are really fortunate people.
