Three magicians to tour Namibia in March

Home National Three magicians to tour Namibia in March

In cooperation with the German Embassy and the Goethe-Insitut Namibia, three of the world’s top magicians will bring their magic show ‘Magic Words – Zauberworte’ on a big tour through Namibia in March 2023.

In addition to grand evening shows aimed at adults, the magicians will also perform at selected schools throughout the country as a charitable contribution to their tour and further strengthening intercultural exchanges. Some shows will include the dance and rhythm group ‘Hit the Beat.’

The vision underlying the tour is to bring together people of all different backgrounds, and share the fascination of magical experiences.

The three magicians are:

Gaston Florin – the shapeshifter – won the titles of German champion and world champion of magic as well as the Sarmoti Award presented by Siegfried & Roy in Las Vegas, among other awards.

Janis von dem Borne – the storyteller – has been awarded in international competitions on several occasions, including first place in Austria (Austrian champion), third place at the World Championship in The Hague, several prizes in the German championships, and a nomination for the World Championship in Stockholm.

Harry Riegel – the mentalist – spent part of his childhood in Namibia. One of the few mentalists who can perform magic on the radio. His talent has taken him around the globe, performing for countless radio stations, TV channels and celebrities, including Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter and Jay-Z.

The premiere of the tour will take place on 04 March in Windhoek at Droombos, and will then take them to Tsumeb, Otjiwarongo, Omaruru, Swakopmund, Wolwedans Dune Lodge, Lüderitz Nest Hotel and Maltahöhe Hotel.

The finale of the tour will be two shows at the National Theatre of Namibia in Windhoek on 24 and 25 March.

As a special highlight for these shows, the magicians will use one Namibian newspaper and one radio station to exclusively be involved in the last shows of the tour in Windhoek for a unique worldwide magical experiment.

Tickets are available at webtickets.com.na and any Pick n Pay Store, or at the participating hotels and venues.
