Namibian born Ronald Slamet (25) who has made waves competing in the Western Cape Regional Superbike Championship circuit has been sponsored by Novel Ford and Mazda CT with a brand new Ford Fiesta St. The sponsorship comes in the wake of his racing results this year, placing him as a top championship contender with a big following. The sponsors saw it fit to put Ronald into their zooty new Fiesta and attach his name to their brand. Ronald who is better known as the ‘Red Baron’ amongst racing circles, races a Kawasaki ZX10R and has been competing in SA for four years. This is the first vehicle sponsorship he has received during his racing career, but on track he is riding under the banner of Mike Hopkins Motorcycle Cape Town.
