Raggazzi FC confident ahead of weekend matches

After a lengthy break, the NDTC Futsal Premier League is set to resume this weekend with an exciting schedule of matches set for Saturday.

At least seven matches are on the cards for the men’s premier league, with one of the most anticipated clashes being between Seven Kings and Raggazzi FC at the Windhoek Showgrounds at 14h00.

Raggazzi FC currently occupies ninth position in the log standings with 15 points, having won four, lost six and drawn three of their matches so far. Tomorrow’s game presents them an opportunity to claim more points and climb up the league table.

Their opponents find themselves 11th in the standings with 12 points – three points behind Raggazzi FC, having won four matches but losing nine so far this season.

Raggazzi FC head coach and captain, Zak Raggazzi expressed excitement about the league’s resumption this weekend, saying the break had provided them ample time to reorganise themselves.

“I believe a break was necessary to ensure that players got sufficient rest. Competing every week was taking a toll on some of them. But I am happy we will be back on the arena,” he said.

Regarding his expectations for the weekend, he said: “We had a couple of friendly matches and tournaments during the long break, which I believe was very crucial as we aim to fight for the futsal title. The boys are in good shape and happy to make a comeback. The team is fit, all our key players are available for this encounter, and I am looking forward to it.”

Meanwhile, Futsal Namibia media manager Greyeno Rusberg said fans can expect an action-packed weekend. “We urge fans to come in their numbers. This will be exciting, and fans can expect best matches to be on display,” he said.

In other matches scheduled to follow each other on Saturday, Ballers FC will take on X-Men in another anticipated contest at 15h00, while Demia will face WHK Futsal at the same venue immediately after, followed by Flying V clashing with WIAS FC in a tie expected to be explosive.

INEOS will welcome Mavericks in another match-up to watch out for, while EFG Patriots FC will square off against league leaders Chile FC, and Quality FC will take on JAC FC.
