The Namibian Police are expected to apprehend two fathers this week for repeatedly molesting their daughters, aged five and 14, between December 2022 and 13 January 2023.
The two incidents were reported by the police through the weekend crime report that occurred at Sees and Windhoek, respectively.
It is alleged that on Friday 13 January 2023, a five-year-old girl was molested several times by her step-father in their house in Greenwell Matongo.
The suspect unlawfully and intentionally had sexual intercourse with a minor on several occasions.
The suspect is well-known but has not yet been arrested.
At Sees, it is alleged that a man had sexual intercourse with his 14-year-old biological daughter on numerous occasions at farm Klipdriff in December 2022, Windhoek District.
Sources privy to the information in this case alleged that the child was numerously violated by the father when she came for the holiday.
It is alleged that the suspect first approached his daughter, making sexual advances – to which the victim refused.
“He then grabbed the child and started assaulting her sexually. He continued until the end of the holiday when the child went back to her grandmother in Omitara,” said the source.
The source further narrated that the victim experienced heavy bleeding and approached her aunt, who was working on the farm, to assist her with sanitary pads because she was hurt by her father on numerous days.
“The aunt then escorted the child to the grandmother, who was later informed by the police. The child is terrified by the situation and needs to go through counselling, as she is still a minor and a learner,” said the source.
The suspect is known but he has not yet arrested, pending police investigations.
Meanwhile, on Saturday, 14 January 2023, around 04h00 at Vision Park river bed, Nomtsoub location, it is alleged that a 27-year-old man came out of Vision Bar and escorted the 25-year-old Namibian female victim, as she was very drunk.
The suspect had sexual intercourse with her without her consent.
The suspect was arrested and will appear before the Tsumeb Magistrate’s Court this week.
