Helmut Goldbeck is fighting for his life in the MediClinic hospital in Windhoek after he was savagely attacked on his farm in the Omitara area. 

 WINDHOEK – The family of the Omitara farmer, Helmut Goldbeck, who was brutally attacked on his farm last week Thursday has offered a reward of N$50 000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the offenders. The 66-year old Goldbeck is currently fighting for his life in the MediClinic hospital in Windhoek after a group of criminals posing as police detectives assaulted him with a shocking device and fractured his ribs after kicking him mercilessly.

The farmer was reportedly alone on the farm when the robbers arrived around seven o’clock that night.  It is not yet known what the assailants stole from the farm.
