WINDHOEK – The second session of the Entrepreneurship and Business Development Workshop will be facilitated by Rob Parker, a social media expert, Augusto Viagem a business analyst and market guru, and accountant Leevi Haitengela.
“The workshop targets start-up entrepreneurs, existing entrepreneurs, managers and anyone who wants to learn and be inspired,’’ said Ester Hamukoto, the Managing Director of Esh-Ham Business Consultants, which will host the workshop.
It will take place on March 26 and 27 and will cost N$1 500 per person with the space limited to 30 people.
“We want them to come with their questions about the problems they are facing in business and there will be one-on-one sessions where entrepreneurs will be coached on how to achieve their goals,’’ said Hamukoto.
Hamukoto added that the workshop will help candidates in conducting and preparing market survey reports, develop business plans and make good presentations to loan appraisal officers at financial institutions.
“Rob Parker will be doing a presentation on how to advertise using social media and how to write content that will attract or appeal to readers. He will be showing us how to set up a Facebook page,’’ she said.
“The candidates will become aware of legal issues facing small business and the outside resources available for help, determine current and future employee needs and related expenses and identify business insurance, other risk management needs and associated costs,’’ said Hamukoto.
Hamukoto said applicants will also learn how to acknowledge the importance of a business image in overall marketing strategies and will learn the principals of customer service and their impact on profitability.
She added that the workshop will explain the importance of growth management, examine reasons for growth in business and recognize the pitfalls of unmanaged growth.
“Business people will also gain an understanding of managed growth and evaluate their learning experience,’’ concluded Hamukoto.
