If there is no other indicator of how today’s life is completely inverted, then the festive season is the one. The festive season is one of the times, if not the only one of the year, when human consciousness is at its peak. It is where humanity is found vibrating at its highest frequency, especially after vibrating at its lowest after all its trials and tribulations throughout the year.
For this alone, one would imagine that humanity will take advantage of this opportunity to revive its spirit both at individual and collective levels. Of course, vital and transformative knowledge is uncommon and will never be found in the mainstream but that does not mean it’s not readily available.
Those who diligently seek any knowledge or anything shall find it – for that is a natural law. Unfortunately, it seems today’s world is more interested in the superficial and the mundane rather than matters that could raise the world consciousness to its highest and possibly for the best existential experience the world may have ever seen before.
Now imagine if it were knowledge to a common man that the festive season is probably the best time to aspire or make any great change in one’s life since this is also the time when the entire universe is in their favour. Imagine what Christmas and New Year’s Day look like and what contrast it would be from the tradition. If the significance of this season were given the attention it deserves, it would also serve a greater purpose for humanity. It would be a much better scene to see. It would be a scenery of no violence, fatal accidents and no destructive behaviour at all levels – physically, mentally and psychologically.
Obviously, at a great time like this, many of us will miss out on another opportunity to reflect on the past year to not only count our blessings, but our losses too as they may be nothing more than blessings in disguise. Many of us may even pass through this season unconsciously and in slumber from excessive poison.
The festive season can also be a great indicator of humanity’s progress. This can easily be assessed by looking at both individual and collective aftermath. Will we as individuals and society come off the festive season better than we were before it? Are we more at peace and relaxed? Are we more loving, kind and tolerant? Do we feel more prosperous and look to the future with hope? Or do we come out broken, bitter and distressed?
Clearly, if we come out no better off every festive season then we must collectively be held accountable for slowing down our progress. It would also be an indication that, as much as we want the world and life to change, we clearly have no true will or intention to make it happen. It would also mean that, even with all the great lessons we are always presented with, we deliberately or ignorantly turn the other way, doing the same things that gave the results we do not like.
Lastly, good luck to those who will respond to nature’s call to give this season the reverence of its significance that it deserves. Of course, you may be the minority, but your acts hold much greater power that can save humanity. For many are called but a few are chosen, and the tough battles will always be given to the toughest warriors.
