WINDHOEK- One of Namibian top rappers, Lownan Nangombe, aka Wambüseun, will be the only Namibian artist featuring at the annual Hart van Windhoek festival on September 5 and 6 at the Doc Jubber Sports Grounds in Olympia in Windhoek.
Wambüseun says he is very happy to perform among South African artists and to thrilling quests at the festival will be his main target. “We promise that the 2014 festival will deliver amazing expreances and great music from different artists.” Says the Acting Senior Manager of Windhoek Trade Mark, Vido Tjozongoro. On Friday, September 5 South African Black Coffee will headline the event. Other artists to perform include Kahn Morbee, Bittereinder and Crazy White Boy while on Saturday, the festival will be headlined by Springbok Nude Girls, followed by Dans Dans Lisa, Joshua na die reen, Blackbyrd, Nadine, Jay, Riana Nel, Karen Zoid, Snotkop, Emo Adams, Elvis Blue, Ray Dylan and Radio Kalahari Orkes.
Wambuseun introduced himself to the Namibian music scene in 1999 and is Namibia’s first ‘superhero’ when it comes to rapping in Afrikaans. Wambüseun’s “feel good” music is about a vast array of topics ranging from peace, girls and love. Tickets for the event are N$120 on Friday and N$135 on Saturday. Doors open at four O’clock in the afternoon (16h00).
