By Frederick Philander WINDHOEK Bank Windhoek has announced in a press release that its ‘Win a Select Journey’ competition has been won by a medical doctor of Grootfontein The competition was launched in September by Bank Windhoek as a three-month cheque account sales promotion geared towards creating public awareness on Bank Windhoek’s cheque account packages. “The cheque campaign, which included a Bank Windhoek ‘Win a Select Journey’ competition as part of its promotions, ended on November 30, and the draw was held on December 6 to select a winner,” said Marlize Horn, Senior Manager of Marketing and Corporate Communication Services. Dr Johannes Gagiano of Grootfontein has won a trip for two to one of four destinations. “He will select the journey of his choice, worth N$50ÃÆ’Æ‘ÀÃ…ÃÆ”šÃ‚ 000, between an exotic trip to the mystical world of Asia on the Eastern and Oriental Express, a shopping spree in Dubai, a chance to watch a Premiership team in the UK or attend the F1 Grand Prix in Monaco. “I am very excited about winning and will take the opportunity to visit one of the exotic destinations, but since I’ve already attended the Grand Prix in Monaco in 1989, I will decide on one of the other destinations,” said Gagiano. He added that he has banked with Bank Windhoek for just over four years and has been impressed with the fast, efficient and friendly services as well as the personal attention he has received from the bank. “Even though Bank Windhoek’s cheque account packages have been in existence for a long time, through this campaign we hope to have created awareness of the range of cheque accounts available at our Bank Windhoek and position them as a premium range of cheque products,” said Horn. Entry in the competition, which was open to all Namibian residents aged 18 years and older, was automatic upon successfully opening any Bank Windhoek cheque account.
