WINDHOEK

There will be no love lost between Oshikandela Ramblers and Black Africa when the two title-chasing giants meet in an MTC Namibia Premiership clash at the Khomasdal Stadium, in Windhoek tonight (19h00)
Early-pace setters Ramblers have fallen down the pecking order and now are third on the log standings with 30 points from 18 matches – four points adrift of leaders Orlando Pirates and to two off the pace of 2nd placed defending champions Civics.

Africa are lingering further behind in 6th place with 28 points but Smithley Engelbrecht’s charges boast a match in hand over their cross-town rivals and victory will see them leapfrog the troubled Pionierspark-based outfit into 3rd place on the log standings.

Ramblers last tasted victory more than a month ago in the league against lowly placed Fedics United and APS Blue Waters, but the wheels of fortune have since come off badly in subsequent games, with the star-studded outfit only managing to collect two points out of a possible 12 in their last four league outings.

Meanwhile, in a desperate bid to turn their fortunes around – the Tunchel Street Boys have roped in the services of former player and highly qualified local coach Eric Muinjo to take over the reins at the troubled wealthy club.

Muinjo takes over with immediate effect and will be in charge when Ramblers take on Black Africa in tonight’s do or die league match.

Co-coaches Tollie van Wyk and Dove Fransman have been both degraded to the role of assistant coaches and will now become Muinjo’s understudies for the remainder of the season.
