Magdalena could not hide her excitement saying she feels happy, proud and blessed to win the title. “With this title, I am going to be involved in community works such as cleaning, campaigning and youth meetings,” determines she. She sees herself running a big modeling agency in the country in five years. Although this is not the first time she has won a title, she will this time around take it as an opportunity and platform to encourage other young models use their talents.
In 2013 Magdalena was Miss Young Kasi and in 2014 she was second princess in Miss High School North, winning the title last year. The Oshakati Totem Expo focuses on cultural tourism and is based on traditions and cultures of Namibians.
Besides the exhibitions, visitors were entertained with music performances, a beauty pageant and other activities such as story-telling that enlightened the public about the origin and importance of totems. Young Peace, Lbht, Dutchess Elanah and Ndawana entertained the guests during the event.
