The latest GDP figures from the Namibia Statistics Agency (NSA) show that the domestic economy contracted by 0.1 percent in the first quarter of 2018. This indicates a continuation of the subdued demand for goods and services. However, this is a slight improvement compared to the first quarter of last year, when contraction was measured at -0.4 percent.
