The 7th edition of the Rhuuksie Soccer Bonanza, formerly known as the Queensab Soccer Bonanza, will take place at Rehoboth Stadium this weekend.

This highly-anticipated tournament promises to showcase some of the best local football talent, with an impressive prize pool of N$50 000 up for grabs.

The entry fee is set at N$2 500, which grants teams the opportunity to compete for lucrative prizes. 

The winning team will walk away with N$25 000, a prestigious floating trophy and 20 medals, establishing their place in the annals of local football history. 

The runners-up will not leave empty-handed either, as they will receive N$12 500 and silver medals.

 Additionally, both semi-final losers will take home N$6 250 as a consolation prize.

This provides teams with a last-minute chance to finalise their entry, and prepare for what promises to be a thrilling tournament.

For vendors, food and cold drink stalls are available at a fee of N$500 for both days. 

Alcohol from outside is not permitted, and all vehicles will be subject to search to maintain a family-friendly atmosphere throughout the event.

Spectators can enjoy the excitement for a general entrance fee of N$20, while kids U/12 can enter for just N$10. 

Vehicles will be charged N$10 for parking. 

To enhance the festive atmosphere, DJ Baggio will be on hand to provide music, with a bar also available for adults to enjoy refreshments.

Returning to the field to defend their title are the champions of last year’s tournament, Africa United. 

Fans and football enthusiasts alike are eagerly awaiting to see if they can retain their crown or if a new champion will emerge from the competition.
