Miss Universe Namibia Prisca Anyolo graced the stage at the 73rd Miss Universe pageant in Mexico on Saturday.
Miss Namibia Organisation CEO Umbi Karuaihe-Upi expressed immense pride in Anyolo’s performance.
She highlighted her exceptional preparation, both emotional and physical, and her ability to hold grace and poise among the 125-strong contestants.
“We are happy, as a nation. She really outdid herself, and made us proud. The way she carried herself was out of this world,” Karuaihe-Upi said.
Miss Universe Denmark Victoria Kjaer was crowned Miss Universe.
Chidimma Adetshina from Nigeria was the first runner-up, and Maria Fernanda Beltran was the second runner-up.
Anyolo is set to return to Namibia on Tuesday with her team.
She was trained rigorously, focusing on various aspects of the competition.
She has been actively engaging with her fans and supporters through social media, sharing her journey, and expressing gratitude for their unwavering support.
Anyolo was crowned Miss Namibia in Luderitz in July.
Last night, she wrote on her social media platform: “I would really like to thank every single one of you who supported me, voted for me, and showed up for me in ways I could never imagine. Lord knows how little I had to work with, and you guys made me feel like I had more than enough. From the bottom of my heart, thank you to Umbi Karuaihe-Upi, NBC Namibia, and all our sponsors for absolutely everything you have done for me. I remain grateful. Mexico, you were amazing.”
