Brave Warriors head coach Collin Benjamin has named a 31-man provisional squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Malawi on 5 September and São Tomé and Príncipe on 9 September.
Former Brave Warriors player and assistant coach Willem ‘Dudes’ Mwedihanga said the league ended in May and since then, players have been off for close to two weeks, and that is abnormal in football, hence why they started training earlier with mini pre-season for players to catch up and strengthen their bodies before the matches.
“The players who were working previously are the ones who were called in for training. The likes of youthful Oscar Nyambe said are young and need to get into the set up and high level of training and be ready to play at that level.” -lmupetami@nepc.com.na
