Swapo party Okorukambe district coordinator in Omaheke region Frans Murangi has been suspended and is prohibited from participating in any party activities, pending his appearance before the party’s political bureau.
Swapo has accused him of disrupting its activities in the region, particularly since he started serving as district coordinator.
“The central committee meeting of Swapo party, held on Saturday, 6 June, has taken a resolution that you shall be invited to appear before the political bureau and you are, therefore, advised not to participate in any party activities until you are called by the leadership,” Swapo secretary general Sophia Shaningwa stated in a letter to Murangi, seen by New Era last week.
“Please be informed that the Swapo party Omaheke regional leadership finds it very difficult to work efficiently with your presence,” she stated.
