Education Minister Sanet Steenkamp has been appointed as the Regional Representative for the African Region on the Commonwealth of Learning (COL) Board of Governors. Steenkamp was recognised for her strong commitment to advancing equitable and inclusive education across Namibia and the wider Commonwealth. Headquartered in Burnaby, Canada, COL is the world’s only intergovernmental organisation concerned with the promotion and development of distance education and open learning.
