Namibia’s Davis Cup team suffered a 3-0 defeat against Estonia in their World Group Two playoff tie. Codie van Schalkwyk and Steyn Dippenaar were both beaten in their singles matches yesterday by Estonia’s Mark Lajal and Markus Mölder respectively. The Namibian duo then teamed up for the doubles match today, where they faced Lajal and Johannes. Estonia secured a straight-sets victory, winning 6-3, 6-4, to seal the playoff tie and complete a clean sweep over Namibia.
