At some point in our lives, it will be worth to pause and ask ourselves existential questions. Not only can it be enlightening and help one to live intentionally, but to have a better perspective. It is worth to imagine what life experience we would have if we were to be born in a different time, and location with different religious and cultural beliefs or maybe even their non-existence. Needless to say, if we intentionally ask even a hundred ‘what ifs’, we may eventually see the world in a completely different way than before.
In the world where there seems to be doom and gloom everywhere we look, its easier to be carried away or get caught up in a constant state of anxiety and a general feeling of dissatisfaction. It would therefore be worth to pause and unplug from all the noise and clutter. This is because it is only with utmost clarity that we can intentionally take stock of our lives and appreciate the things we may not value amidst social chaos. It is in moments like this that we may realize that maybe chasing the next “best thing” may be the actual cause of our unsettling spirit.
With all that said, knowingly or unknowingly, most of our life experiences are really just up to us. For instance, we have a choice to live through this life as victims or take and accept life with both its pains and pleasures. Moreover, since our default mental state is highly inclined to overthink the negative stuff anyway, we can also intentionally overthink the positive stuff and reap its benefits thereof rather than doing the impossible. Upon deep reflection and introspection, we may find that perspective is far better than perception. Once we understand that perception is more susceptible to control and manipulation, we develop a certain level of discernment. Our minds become filters and sifters of every piece of information consumed. With this realization, something special develops in us, and our intuitive capabilities become heightened enough even “to read the room” with precision. We finally realise that knowledge without awareness is worthless, and we may not understand the world and others until we understand ourselves first. We get to understand that, regardless the superficial and physical features, deep in the consciousness of things, we are ultimately all just the same.
Moreover, it is also worth just to pause and live in the moment. Not to reflect or enjoy but to observe. With a better perspective, heightened intuition and awareness, we can then easily ascend to the position of being a watcher. This we must do without judgment or a cynical state of mind, or we may forego our divine power. In this, we take a neutral position that lives and lets others live, unless invited, consulted, or nature calls for intervention. It is also in this position where imagination is a treasure because with the sixth sense activated, we naturally also become co-creators with the universe for the benefit of everything and everyone else, especially now that we understand all is just a greater and broader part of us too.
