AC Boxing Promotions has announced a WBO Africa Super Featherweight blockbuster fight night set for 30 May 2026 at the Roman Catholic Hall in Windhoek, promising an action-packed evening for local boxing fans.
The headline bout will see AC Boxing’s Flame “Special One” Nangolo defend his WBO Africa Super Featherweight title against MTC Nestor Sunshine Tobias Boxing and Fitness Academy’s Martin “The Alligator” Mukungu.
Nangolo enters the fight with an unblemished professional record of 14 fights, all victories, including five wins by technical knockout. Confident ahead of the bout, he downplayed the magnitude of the occasion, describing it as routine.
“I’m ready to step in the ring and do what I do best. This is just another opponent in my way,” Nangolo said.
Mukungu, on the other hand, brings a record of 15 fights, eight knockouts and two losses. For him, the bout carries added significance as he looks to make history.
“As the first Kavango fighting for this title, I think I should become the new title holder. Flame Nangolo is a good fighter, but not good enough for the Alligator,” he said.
Beyond the main event, the fight night will feature a full undercard of six bouts showcasing both rising prospects and established names. In the lightweight division, Divas Nangongo will take on Vaino Hangala, who is set to make his professional debut.
The welterweight contest will see Robert Ndalelwa square off against Abraham Petrus, while Paulus Amavila faces Fillipus Amwaama in the junior middleweight division. Another lightweight bout features Hafeni Ngesheya against Reinhold Matheus.
Rounding off the card, Ruaan Rasper will go head-to-head with Salom Petrus in the junior welterweight category.
With a mix of title stakes, emerging talent and national pride on the line, the event is expected to draw strong local support and deliver an exciting night of boxing in the capital.
