Just a month after a red carpet premier at the NamPower Convention Centre here, producers of Uushimba have received invitations to screen Uushimba at an international film festivals. The first International Film Festival where Uushimba is going to screen is the AFRIKIKAS FILM FESTIVAL which is taking place in Namiba from September 14—17.

Uushimba is set to screen on the last day of the festival, Saturday, September 17 at four O’clock (16H00). Tickets will only be sold at the venue on the day and are going for N$ 30. Uushimba has also received an invitation to screen at the 18th Zimbabwe International Film Festival & Trust (ZIFFT), which in Harare from October 1–8. Producer Gustav Nuuyoma indicates that “it’s an amazing thing for the film to be recognised at the international platform, that’s just show how much work everybody who was involved on the project have put in. So again big ups to the cast and crew for a job well done”. Nuuyoma adds that the screening of Uushimba tomorrow is an opportunity for all those who couldn’t make to the red carpet premier and have been asking where they can watch the film to finally watch the amazing Uushimba.

Director Khama Nakanduungileh says: “I am thrilled, and I just hope we get to showcase Uushimba at more international film festivals such as Pan African Film Festival (PAFF), and a lot others. I also hope Namibian Companies and investors see what’s happening so that they can start investing in the film industry.
