The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has requested the assistance of the public to trace a Chinese national, who failed to appear in court in June to face charges of corruption.

A press statement issued by ACC chief investigator Nelius Becker said Gu Kainin Kelvin and a Roads Authority employee were scheduled to appear in the Walvis Bay Magistrate Court in June, but Kelvin failed to show up.
Becker said the corruption charges stemmed from the unlawful release of a truck belonging to the company where Kelvin was employed after it was impounded at the Walvis Bay weighbridge in 2012.

“Subsequently a warrant of arrest was issued for Kelvin,” Becker said and requested that anyone with information regarding Kelvin’s whereabouts contact the investigator, Walter Kurz, on 0811284917 or 064-463221, or to report to the nearest police station.
