Another major sponsorship from Namdia

Namdia, the state-owned diamond marketing and sales company, through its foundation yesterday announced a N$400 000 sponsorship towards Athletics Namibia (AN).

It will help with the country’s preparations and participation in the upcoming Africa Senior Athletics Championships in Mauritius from 8-12 June.

“Namdia is pleased to share that this is our second commitment to AN and last year’s sponsorship assisted our Namibian team to participate in the 2021 World Youth Championship where they secured top medals.

Besides our sponsorships of athletics, through our sport pillar, we also sponsored the Namibian Olympic team for their participation at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games and the Namibia Rugby Women’s team for their first historic match against Zambia.

This year, we kick started our sport pillar with the sponsorship of middle-distance runner David Dam for his participation at the ASA Athletics Grand Prix Continental Tour in South Africa, where he secured 3rd place and achieved his personal best time,” said Namdia in a statement yesterday.
