Ballot papers to return in November elections

The Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN) has confirmed it will use the manual ballot papers in the upcoming regional council and local authority elections, saying the electoral body would not be in a position to afford voter-verifiable paper audit trail (VVPAT) devices to allow for electronic voting.

Retailer to cut 500 jobs

Two more test positive for corona

Two more cases of coronavirus were recorded late yesterday after a 26-years-old man from Walvis Bay and a Malawian national (44) at Katima Mulilo tested positive for the virus. Health minister Dr Kalumbi Shangula said the Walvis Bay man has no travel history.
