Fifa’s Samoura responds to Tjongarero… as world football body refuses to bend
Fifa secretary general Fatma Samoura on Tuesday wrote back to the country’s sport minister Agnes Tjongarero, again reiterating the world football governing body’s strong stance that it will not accept a breakaway league in Namibia and nor shall it entertain any undue influence or decisions taken by third parties not elected or appointed by the NFA.

Sports minister Agnes Tjongarero recently wrote to Fifa secretary general Fatma Samoura, informing the world’s football governing body that the Namibian government will push ahead with its efforts to resolve the ongoing standoff between the Namibia Football Association (NFA) and the Namibia Premier League (NPL), despite Fifa’s recent threats to suspend Namibia.
