By looking critically at a lot of happenings in our country today I see signs of uncertainty in many areas of our lives. Many things seem to be changing slowly, often each on its pace. I am not really stunned, for I have realised the world as such has changed drastically and almost everything looks uncertain.
The world is becoming more fragile, unstable and even unpredictable so that even the strongest militaries cannot provide us with the security they once did.
Truly, social unrest has become a worrisome trend. Crime has become endemic in many countries, ours. Corruption continues to increase. The world has entered an unspeakable critical crises of our generation.
Almost every news broadcast we watch gives us shocking updates. Everyone seems to be affected in one way or another, including the richest people.
Even as I am writing, something bad is happening somewhere in this world. It could be a natural disaster, fire outbreak, conflict, or war since most of our problems are within the domain of human relationships. And there has never been a time when we felt threatened like now. This clearly demonstrates that we need help.
In order for us to successfully confront our problems, we need to figure out exactly where our help will come from. It is remarkable that we have good leaders with us, who are doing a lot to shape lives. Yet, problems continue to tear us apart.
With all their caring efforts, the world’s top leaders continue to hold international meetings to find remedies, but nothing seems to help. Something is wrong somewhere and the need to rediscover what went wrong is visible in our lives.
What am I trying to say? My point is we need God for us to move forward. We need Him in all regards and circumstances. We, as humans, have tried even more than enough from the beginning of the human race to do things on our own, but not much has worked out to solve our problems completely.
The more we try to advance our thinking and practices, the worse it gets. What we build turns to destroy us and what we think threatens us back. Now, it has gotten even worse that we eat to destroy ourselves, for some of the food we eat and the drinks we drink are responsible for our sicknesses.
God has done enough for us to remember Him in all our endeavours. By his power, He puts the sky in place, He makes the rivers to flow, and He puts water in the forest, and makes the clouds to give rain. Who among us with our knowledge can do this, who?
I think we should stop looking for answers in space. We need to do what God requires of us to do in order to find Him. Depending on ourselves will not take us anywhere.
The Bible clearly articulates the truth that we keep ignoring. There are things which God has said in the beginning of life that have never changed. For instance, God says the truth cannot be hidden.
God has blown away satisfaction from anything we can pursue to find satisfaction. It is for this reason that you see that no one gets satisfied doing or having anything. It can be food, money or relationships, none of it can fully satisfy a human being. That is why you see that even the richest people do not stop working.
We need to live by the truth. For as long as we live, neither our eyes nor ears will hear or see enough to be satisfied. In life, no one knows the day, the time and circumstance they will die, except God. Let’s look for God and find Him. He is the reason we are alive. He deserves to be honoured for who He is, if not for creating us. Everything will be easy for us if we find Him.
Therefore, our responsibility should be on seeking, finding and hearing from God. He has promised us to hear from Him if we seek Him. He is a true and loving God. God loves this nation. If we only had strong and true conviction in our faith, we would be a model nation.
We have grown very well, but I think we need a spiritual voice to accompany us to realise the visions we dream to achieve. All of us should seek God, children, elders, politicians, journalists, farmers, nurses, etc. This way we will maintain our peace. Let’s find God before it will be too late!
