-New Kid on the block, Jay R, is slowly making his mark on the music scene.
The young Dancehall and Afro-Pop singer has upped his claims to be the future of the Afro pop variety by releasing a single I Like complimented by a video. Jay R says the song has been produced, recorded, shot and directed in Windhoek by Maj-Beats. I Like is an Afro-Pop love song which provides a sing along vibe, that will make any one dance to it,” says Jay R.

In the music video, Jay R plays a role of a builder who works in a construction company, and then one day he fell and physically got attracted to the owner of the house who they are working for. He says series of relationship dynamics are being portrayed in the video as jay R has now to deal with his feelings as well as irrational actions in the presence  of the house owner and his co-workers.

Born and raised in the northern part of the country, Jay R, who describes himself as a singer, performer and a recording artist, grew up listening to the voices of Americans and western Africans geniuses, whom he says drove his singing passions to the next level. “Recording is like an easy subject to me now. I write music that come from my heart, and mostly about life in general, love, culture and girls. I am currently working on my debut album to be titled The Music, Me & You to be released this year,” he says.

Jay R started his music as a solo artist and says he have also teamed up with a female singer known as  Kim Scooter and formed up a group called Stereo Brats.
