Man dies in freak donkey accident

NKURENKURU – A 33-year-old man lost his life after he fatally fell from a donkey he was riding on Tuesday at 11h00 in Sikarosompo village in the Kavango West.

“It is alleged that the deceased person and his friend were riding donkeys from the grazing area. Each one of them was riding a donkey, and they were chasing other two donkeys that were running on their own,” said Commissioner Julia Sakuwa-Neo, who confirmed the incident to New Era.

According to the commissioner, the victim allegedly fell off his donkey and landed on a tree stump. As a result, he hit his left rib on the stump, and he died while waiting to be transported to hospital.

“The deceased was identified as Kudumo Petrus Nyango, a Namibian male of approximately 33 years old.”

His next of kin were informed.
