President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah extended heartfelt congratulations to the Brave Gladiators following their historic victory over South Africa in the Cosafa Women’s Championship in Polokwane, South Africa, on Sunday.

“Your achievement is a testament to perseverance, hard work, discipline and unwavering commitment,” she said in a media statement.

“This victory once again affirms that sustained investment in sport is an investment in our youth, national pride and socio-economic development. Sport remains a powerful vehicle for empowerment, unity and opportunity. I commend you for this outstanding accomplishment and trust that this success marks the beginning of many more victories to come,” she said. 

Further, “I am immensely proud of the way you represented Namibia with honour and distinction. Continue to strive for excellence and keep up the good work,” said the head of state.
