The Khomas Netball League, also known as the Khomas Super 10, will be on break until July, league organisers announced yesterday.
According to league representative Dimitri Bittler, the league will be paused for the next three weeks. These games are set to begin early next month in Windhoek and the coastal town of Swakopmund.
“The league has been suspended until further notice. This is to make way for the upcoming Region 5 Games; we didn’t want our games to clash with them. Additionally, most of our players will be competing in the regional games,” he explained.
Heading into the long break, Golden Girls lead the Super 10 standings with 33 points. Namibia Correctional Service (NCS) is in second position with 27 points, while Go Monate Fella sits in third place with 18 points. NUST is in fourth place, tied with Go Monate Fella on 18 points.
At the bottom of the Super 10 table, United finds themselves in a difficult position with six points in ninth place, while Afrocat-Lions trails the log with four points.
Meanwhile, in the First Division, Golden Girls top the summit with 21 points from seven games. Wanderers are in second with 16 points, and United is in third, also tied with Wanderers at 16 points.
In the Second Division, Tura Magic remains at the top with 18 points, followed by City of Windhoek with 12 points, and Quality Queens in third place, also with 12 points.
