The FNB Women Super League will continue this weekend, with crucial matches slated for different venues across the nation.
Action will commence today at the Namibia Football Association (NFA) technical centre where Nust Babes will face Khomas Nampol Ladies at 17h00.
Action will continue tomorrow morning when Okahandja FC welcomes Beauties at Nau-aib Stadium in what is expected to be a tough contest, scheduled for 12h30. At NFA Centre, V-Power Angels will host African Stars Queens, previously known as Ongwediva Queens, in tie starting at 17h00.
Julinho Athletic Ladies will then take on Unam Bokkies at Unam Stadium a match scheduled to start at 14h00.
At the same venue, Arrows Ladies will entertain on reigning champions Ogos Ladies FC at 16h00, in a tie expected to produce fireworks. Speaking to this publication yesterday, Shama Gure said despite his charges not winning their first match, he is confident about tomorrow’s outcome.
“Everyone who watched our first match will tell you that we had a great game, its just that we could not convert our chances,”
He added: “However, matches lined up for this weekend are equally tough, teams have beefed up their squads and getting maximum point is the goal. It is the same goal for us as we want to win our first league match this season,”
Salomon Nakale, the Arrows Ladies head coach said his charges are ready to keep their momentum going. “Ongos are a good team, and we respect them, but we are also ready for this specific match,” he said.
Meanwhile, at Vineta Stadium in Swakopmund, Namib Daughters will square off against Windhoek City SC, in a match scheduled for 10h30.On Sunday, action will resume with tantalising match-up between Okahandja United and African Stars Queens slated to start at 12h30 at Nau-aib Stadium in Okahandja. A tie between V-Power Angels and Beauties is scheduled for the NFA technical centre in the capital where Julinho Athletic Club will also take on Ongos Ladies at 11h00. At Unam Stadium, Arrows Ladies will welcome Unam Bokkies at 11h00, while Namib Daughters will be in a battle against Khomas Nampol Ladies at Vineta Stadium in Swakopmund at 09h30.
Wrapping up the weekend fixtures will be a tie between Nust Babes and Windhoek City SC, scheduled for 14h00 at NFA Technical centre.
